Research Interests

In the Lucent Laboratory we use computational physics to investigate the properties of molecules that make up life. Of particular interest in our group is the study of protein folding inside the cell as well as chaperonin mechanism. We also develop molecular dynamics techniques for studying enzyme design. We are a part of the Folding@home consortium and use the distributed computing power of the Folding@home network to perform simulations that will hopefully lead to a deeper understanding of the fundamental biophysical processes of protein folding and enzymatic catalysis.
